AWARENESS PROGRAM ON SUATAINABLE HERBAL PRODUCTION AND USAGE :
The NGO President Mr.M.Selvendran in the introductory session:
The Program was presided over by The Union Chairman Mr. Ratha Krishnan on June 27th at Mangalamcombu - Kodaikanal taluk among the SC / ST People of the hilly area. Nearly about 150 SC/ST and hill dwellers participated in the program. Forest officers and local guards participated and explained about the rights of ST people to utilize the forest produces without damaging it. The Horticulture department AAO Mr. Govindraj explained about the government schemes and grants for Herbal Production. The local public and SC/ST community participated in the program.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR WOMEN AND YOUTHS :
Mr.Ayyanan District Industrial Centre Inspector Motivates The Trainees :
A Training Programm was conducted on Leadership for women and Youths on 14th June at Sitharevu Village. The Village President Mr.S.O.Jeyaraj presided over the training. 40 women leaders participated from 15 groups and 20 youths participated in the training. Mr. Ayyanan Inspector Trained and Motivated the leaders and Youths.
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT :
With the Assistance of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. The watershed development and Natural Resource initiatives has been under taken for a sustainable agriculture development and rural development.
Overview Of The Kombaipatti II Watershed Area :
    With the participation of villagers shramdhan work has been done with 1650 free mandays of shramdhan.
    After the shramadhan 117.6 Ha of land has been proposed to NRM under the capacity Building Phase [CBP] and got sanctioned with an estimate of Rs.7,99,581 including management cost.
      The Project cost was operated by the village watershed committee of Chitharevu village . VWC the management cost was utilized for staff salary and office management. With the NABARD Assisted CBP grant the following NRM systems has been established from June 2011 to March 2012 by the VWC under the guidance and supervision of our KRDA NGO.
FIELD BUND :
Working To Form The Field Bund Rain Water Harvested In Field Bund Pits
Field Bund established in the Farmers fields – 7225 Cubic Meters at an estimate of Rs. 2,70,284.
AGRO FORESTRY PLANTING: :
Distribution Of Agro Forestry Plants To The Farmers:
Agro Forestry Plants distributed to farmers 1775 plants at a cost of Rs.68,151.
DRY LAND HORTICULTURE :
Dry Land Horticulture Planting and nurturing done- 940 No’s at an estimate of Rs.98, 943
GRASS SEEDING:
Grass Seeding were made at the Field bunds , Sunken Pond, Farm pond etc., at an estimate cost of Rs.8, 000.
LOOSE ROCK CHECK DAMS:
The Established View Of The Loose Rock Check Dam:
Loose Rock Check Dams has been established at an estimate of Rs.16, 875. for 3 Nos(45Rm).
SUNKEN POND :
Established Sunken Pond Impact Of The Sunken Pond
Sunken Ponds established in 3 Places (480 m3) –at Rs.-------- 17,112.
WATER ABSORPTION TRENCH:
Water Absorption Trench has been established in the over sloped Ridge Areas(1270m3) at an estimate of Rs.45,276.
STONE SAUCER BASIN :
The View Of The Stone Saucer Basin Established Around The Plants To Harvest Rain Water and Stop Soil Erosion Naturally To Grow Well and Establish :
Stone Saucer Basins established around the plants to arrest Soil Erosion 255Nos at an estimate of Rs.23,560.
AGRO HORTICULTURE:
Agro Horticulture has been established for 400 No’s at an estimate of Rs.29,060.
STONE GULLY PLUGS:
Stone Gully plugs established at 110 places at an estimate of………. Rs.17,930.
STONE WALL:
Stone Wall has been established 20mts at an estimate of Rs.4,000.
GABIAN CHECK DAM:

Gabion Check Dams has been established to arrest the velocity of water and erosion of soil. 3 Nos at an estimate of……………… Rs.85, 293.
EDP ON FOOD PROCESSING :
An Entrepreneur Development Program has been conducted at Vadipatti with the financial assistance of The Ministry of Food Processing Industries Government of India. Thirty three (33) trainees have undergone training. Among them 6 Sc trainees and 22 women have taken training. The course has been conducted for 42 days.

A Workshop on Agro forestry Development for Sustainable Livelihood of the farmers has been conducted to Youths, farmers and Local community on 15-02-2012 at Sitharevu village of Athur block Mr. Arjunan Union Councillor presided over the meeting in the presence of Mr. Deivam -Prinicipal Sri.Ragavendra Institute of Education, Singarakottai and the Leading farmer and Forest village committee President Mr.Senthoora Pandiyan.

    Mr. L.Heddy Bai Assistant Director of Horticulture Department, Athoor block delivered the special address and explained the government schemes which are supporting fruit tree cultivation.
     Mr.K.B.Raveendran teacher, Green corps,N.S.V.V. Matriculation School who has received a number of District, State and National awards for greening activities made in India delivered scientifical methods and needs to create and protect the Forest area for sustainable livelihood of agriculture.
Chief Guest Planting The Tree Sapling:
After his Resourceful speech planted tree saplings and 500 tree saplings were distributed to the students and farmers and planted tree saplings in the C.S.I Middle School. In this Program 100 training teachers from Sri.Ragavendra College, 150 School Students and Other college Students and Youths, 50 Farmers 5 NGO representatives participated and benefited. The NEAC Programm was partially supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forest through Peace Trust Dindigal.
INCOME GENERATION PROGRAM :
Under the Income Generation Program through Skill Development an EDP was conducted on Jute Bag making with the Financial Assistance of NABARD. Thirty Three women were selected out of one hundred and five applicants on the basis of their educational qualification and family back round.

The Validictory Function was held on 15 / 02 / 2012. Mr.L.Sanjeevi D.D.M. NABARD Presided over the meeting in the presence of Mr.Ayyanan Inspector District Industrial Centre. All 33 trainees undergone training and there was no drop out.
LABOURS DAY :
Audience In The Labours Day:
Labours Day was celebrated at Batlagundu. Mr.Padmavadi a senior Lawyer Presided over the meeting and delivered speech on the importance of the Labours to the growth in varies sectors and insisted on the Personal Insurance to protect the family and assured all support to labour rights and explained about the points and laws which are supporting the Labour community and their family. Mr.Mohan Union Chairman delivered special address and assured his support and co-operation for the education of the labour’s children. Nearly 100 workers participated in the celebration.
WOMEN SHG FORMATION AND NURTURING :
Women Shgs are formed and nurtured in both districts of Dindigal and Theni districts of Tamil Nadu. This Year during 2011 – 12 March we have formed 49 Women groups with a number of 796 women in the hamlet Villages of Sitharevu in Author Block. These groups are going to be supported by the V.W.C. on behalf of NABARD Watershed development Program. The groups are linked the Canara Bank of Author Branch. The Whole Programme was sponsored by the Baratha Matha Women Self Help Group Federation of KRDA NGO.
AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAM :
The Public and SHG Members Registering Names for Free General Check Up:
Our KRDA NGO is always concerned about the health of the public in continuation with that, we have organized a program on AIDS Awareness to the public. We have organized the one day awareness program on AIDS on 12 th September at Vadipatti, six NGO leaders, shg members and the public have participated in the awareness program. The program was presided over by the ex-village president Mr. Subramanian .The program was wholly sponsored by the NGO with Public contribution.
FARMERS CLUB FORMATION :
Farmers in The Meeting to Discuss The Local Issues :
The new Farmer Clubs were organized at Chitharevu village, Narasinghapuram village, Kathirnayakkan Patti village, sithayan kottai villages of Athoor Block of Dindigal district. The groups are organized as per the guidance of NABARD and applied for the approval from NABARD Regional Office Chennai The Canara Bank manager of Athoor supported the program and encouraged the staffs of our NGO. This process of farmer club formation and nurturing is continued to find prosperous future for the farmers and voice heard anywhere .
YOUTH CLUB FORMATION :
A Part of Viewers in The Inaugural Function Of The Youth Club:
New initiatives has been undertaken to form youth clubs in the villages where the Ngo is working, besides this the steps are being taken to give training on EDP, life skill initiatives and guidance for higher studies to youths in the villages and creating awareness to avail the opportunities and the responsibilities to be a worthy and responsible citizen.
